Check out Ray's interview earlier this week with Channel 7 WXYZ, Lyft, and MusicTown Detroit!
It is approximately 532 miles between Detroit and Nashville.
Motown and Music City.
And that well-traveled route paved the way for quite the reinvention.
Mixing the nostalgia of Motown-inspired grooves with Nashville's songwriting sensibility, this powerhouse vocalist effortlessly weaves a sound and a story that not only stirs the soul but moves the feet.
Let us introduce to you Ray Williams.
Fueled with a twelve-track album, produced by Grammy Award-winner Jim "Moose Brown", that digs deep and collides the influences from two cities / two worlds / two legacies...one story-teller.
Her journey from a teenaged country music singer/songwriter to the now sequin-clad, soul-baring siren she is today is featured in Motown Records' upcoming documentary and soundtrack, "The Fall and Rise of Motown" to be released in Late Summer of 2018.
The reinvention is real. The reintroduction is real.
Look for Ray Williams' debut single, "Sing Me Home" hitting airwaves in June 2018.
